Disney - Part 7

Friday was our last day in the parks so we went to our favorite - Magic Kingdom.
First we rode the race cars.  Here's Reder and me:

And Ruby and Jason:

We went to Tom Sawyer's Island.  That's a really fun place to run around.  It was hot and muggy this day.

We rode lots and lots of rides before stopping for lunch at the Harbour House.  It was okay.

We weren't planning on going back to our room at all this day b/c we didn't want to "waste" any time.  Ruby really wanted a nap so we got on the monorail and rode back and forth between Magic Kingdom and Epcot and she fell asleep.  It was nice and quite and cool.  We all appreciated the break.

When we got back to Magic Kingdom we eventually made our way to the boat dock to catch the boat to the Fort Wilderness Lodge.  This is where the Hoop-dee-doo Revue was held, which is a dinner show that's been running twice a night, every night, for over 30 years!  Crazy!

Here we are on the boat.  This was fun.

This dinner show was all you can eat (and drink!).  The kids had apple juice and tons of water.  We were all so hot and sweaty.  We guzzled the water.

Ribs, fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, and baked beans.  We also had strawberry shortcake.  It was so good, and the show was great too.  The kids even got the funnies and laughed quite a bit.

All you can drink sangria!  I did not take them up on that offer though.

At the end all the kids got to rub a washboard with their spoons:

We rode the boat back to Magic Kingdom after dinner.  It was getting late and we had had a long day so I figured we'd go back to our room, but Jason suggested that since it was our last night we live it up a little and stay out late.  Surprisingly, I agreed!  And I'm so glad we did!  The park is awesome at night.  It's lit up all pretty, and it's not so hot, just comfortable.  Here we are at It's a Small World.  We rode all of our favorites again.

And the carousel....we walked right on:

It's our last night, let's eat giant lollipops at 9 pm!

The crowd for the night parade was getting ridiculous and we thought we had decided there's no way we're getting involved in that.  So we went to Adventureland and had our last Dole Whip, then rode the magic carpets.  In the meantime Jason found a little spot where you could sneak from Adventure Land to Frontier Land, where the parade would eventually pass.  There wasn't anyone there!  We got an awesome spot right as the parade started coming.  This was great!

The kids were in awe.
We left right before they started setting off the fireworks in order to beat the crowd, but we saw them while waiting for the bus.  This was an awesome way to finish out our trip!
