On our first morning there Reder was excited to sneak into Karie's room and give her some "cuggles". He just adores her. We ate some breakfast in our room (we brought breakfast foods with us again, works great) then headed off to Hollywood Studios to meet up with our great friends Chris and Kelly and their daughter Briar, whose trip happened to overlap by a couple of days with ours.
Here is Aunt Karie, all ready for a day of fun! Love that fanny pack and re-useable Mickey Mouse mug!!
The kids couldn't get enough of Karie. Here we are on the bus to Hollywood Studios:
Jason and I were pretty excited too. We were just as excited that we got to sit on the bus without munchkins wiggling all over us, just for a break!:
While we were waiting for the park to open we noticed Minnie and Daisy come out to visit. A line started to form to visit with them and Ruby was so excited to get in line...so Jason took her. Reder wanted none of that. She took it so seriously.
Oh, this was so cool!
One of the activities we did there involved getting volunteers to be in their pretend movie. Karie gladly did it, what a sport. She is the one second on in blue from the left.
She got to be the captain of the boat:
And then everything blew up. Not sure why I put this photo on here:
For lunch we went to the 50's Primetime Cafe. It's a fun restaurant...inside it looks like a 50s era kitchen. we met up with our friends here. We're all happy here, but very hungry:
We had fried chicken, pot roast, and meatloaf. And of course, dessert!
Ruby enjoyed decorating her own ice cream sundae, complete with Mickey sprinkles:
Eventually we made it back to the hotel so Ruby could take a little nap, which she appreciated. Then we headed over to Epcot to meet up with everyone again. One thing we enjoyed was the butterfly garden. Some nice lady there gave us one her daughter had been holding, and showed us how to pass it between kids. Ruby's turn:
Briar's turn:
Reder's turn:
Fantastic day!! We went back to the hotel pooped and happy!
