Texas Part II

The most fun thing about our trip was catching up with family, which included Aunt Karie. Aunt Karie lives in Wichita Falls, TX, which is about 5 hours north of Aunt Mary's. We miss her, though we do "approve" of her boyfriend, Andrew, so we wish her well.

Here is Reder and his best friend Uncle Dick. Aunt Mary had some pop beads that Reder played with a whole bunch while we were there. Reder made Uncle Dick a lovely necklace, and he was a sport and wore it:

Ruby really took to Great Gramma Finney (both kids call her that by the way). In the morning Ruby was usually the first up, but she would go and find Great Gramma Finney and play with her in her room. I think Gramma really liked that! Here they are doing some coloring:

Another fun thing we did while we were there was go get some cowboy boots as souvenirs. We went to Allen's Boots with Aunt Mary, and as soon as we walked in Ruby went straight to a pink pair (surprise!), put them on, and strutted around the store. These weren't the exact ones she ended up with, but she did end up with some pink ones nonetheless!

Reder chose some blue ones (these were the ones we ended up taking home for him):
We bought them a little big for each of them so maybe they can actually wear them for awhile. They both seem to think they're pretty neat. No, Jason and I did not get a pair - we're no fun.
