Reder can't say Iowa, it comes out more like I-o-la. He tries, and it's pretty funny. Here are some details from our trip.
Reder was SO excited the morning we left. We were finishing packing, etc., as we didn't have to leave for the airport until around 9:30. Reder knew we were packing the car, so he tried to help. Notice anything in this picture that is NOT appropriate for taking on the airplane?

Reder and Ruby on the airplane. We were lucky that our second flight was empty so everyone had their own seat. We also had the carseat that was intended for Reder but we quickly learned that it was better for Ruby as she was WAY too wiggly, and Reder was fine on our laps. This is a cute picture.
The first full day we were there we took the "school bus" (the city bus) to Wally's school, then we walked downtown and played in a fountain and had lunch. The boys' personalities were obvious here. This is what my son does with the water:

Across from Jill's place is a patch of open area with huge trees and nice grass. The boys spent lots of time doing this:
We also went to the awesome mall one day and rode the carousel and played in the children's area. In fact, this was so fun we did this twice. There are soft things to climb on a padded floor. Lots of fun!

One morning we went to Lake MacBride. We enjoyed it b/c it's so different from what we're used to...it's so green, different foliage, different birds, and really warm despite the rain.
