Me and my dad have birthdays very close together, so we always celebrate them at the same time. So, yesterday we went to Gramma and Papa's house for the day for the party. Papa had to come to Bozeman anyway, so he came out and picked up the kids and took them home with him. That gave Jason and me a little time to get ready before heading out the door ourselves. The kids were so excited!! I asked Ruby if she wanted to go with Papa or with me and Daddy, and she rushed upstairs to brush her teeth, then frantically put her shoes on by herself and ran out the door (without her coat, and it's COLD!) to be ready for Papa. Guess she wanted to go with him.
We had enchiladas for lunch, then I got a crazy cake with M and M's on top, and Dad got a rhubarb-raspberry pie. We were both happy.

Ruby was very excited about her chocolate cake:
While Ruby took a nap, Reder helped me and Gramma bake cookies:
Once Ruby was awake we all decorated the cookies with all different colors of powdered sugar frosting:
This cookie is the one Reder was the most proud of:
All in all a very great day. Today we went to church, and then this afternoon we are going to go see the Nutcracker. Can't wait! Then Karie gets in tonight. We're preparing for a fun week!
