Birthday

Thursday I turned 0x20. That is a joke that only nerds will understand...

Anyway, Reder was excited to explain to me that we had four parties. There was actually even one more that he didn't know about. But unfortunately we didn't think to get hardly any pictures of our busy weekend. Don't worry, I am including some pictures of our kids - I know that is the only reason anyone looks at our blog!

The first was a birthday lunch at work. Deb made an excellent India-themed lunch, plus creme brule for dessert - which meant we got to play with torches.

For dinner on my Birthday Katie made a special dinner including scallops. Yum!

Plus a special dessert - Panna Cotta. Reder liked it - he ate a couple bites then was done. It's funny how he really doesn't care for dessert.

Ruby loved it. She ate it all gone and wanted "mo."

Friday our neighbors had us over for dinner. We all had a great time - their kids and our kids have a great time together too.

Saturday we had a pretty laid-back day but then had some friends over for dinner. Good food with good friends. Reder even asked Jason Kay to put him to bed.

Then today we had dinner at a church pot-luck, "Bowling without Borders," a fundraiser for Engineers without Borders. This included a ridiculous bowling tournament for an even more ridiculous trophy. The joke was that no one wanted to win since they would have to take the trophy home for a year. There was also a silent auction for pies. When we left, Katie's pie was the highest at $40.

A few random pictures-

Kids helping Mom make a pie:
Kids playing in the playhouse (Ruby looking out).
And a couple of pictures from another hike up Kirk hill - we have had beautiful weather lately.

Thats it for this post. I'm going to see if I can get Katie to post about Ruby's sudden potty-training progress and Katie's 1yr anniversary of being a stay-at-home-mom.
