We were planning to head out for South Dakota Saturday morning, but late Thursday we decided to head out Friday instead because the weather forecast looked grim. We were glad we did. The roads were bad in Bozeman, and some slushy spots when we got into the Black Hills, but otherwise the drive was fine. Since then we heard that we avoided quite a storm in eastern Montana. Many areas got over two feet of snow, with some having even more! At the ranch we got just an inch or so of snow, which quickly melted.
On Sunday we all went to Cabellas, the big sporting goods store where they have lots of neat things for little (and big) boys to see. They especially liked the gigantic aquarium with lots of fish and even a turtle!
Reder and Wally have also fed cracked corn to the wild turkeys that come every morning. The turkeys are very exciting!
Yesterday Joel's mom Kathy and his stepdad drove down from Broadus to see their grandson Wally (and everyone else). We also brought Grandma Daughenbaugh out to the ranch from Rapid City. Reder and Wally were very impressed when Great-Grandma played the harmonica for them. It was great to get everyone together and we all had a good time.

Katie, can I have the original file for the family photo? I like your facial expression and it might come in handy for photoshop work in the future.
I love the family photo-it is great of all of you!!!
