Another highlight of our Texas trip was consuming large amounts of BBQ. Mary and Dick took us to The Salt Lick, which was about 20 minutes away from their house in a town called Round Rock. We ordered family-style, which was pretty much all you could eat ribs, brisket, sausage, potato salad, cole slaw, and bread. Kids ate free! Jason and I agreed that our favorite thing was the ribs. Here is Jason getting ready to pig-out:

All of us getting ready for our food to arrive:
Ruby was by-far the entertainment of the evening. I wasn't sure if she would really eat anything BBQ, since she's not a huge fan of meat. Were we ever wrong! We called the sausage "hot dog" and she kept shouting "BITE! BITE!" until we gave her more. We all ordered dessert too - Jason had pecan pie and the rest of us had blackberry cobbler (pie was better, should have gone with that). Ruby wanted our ice cream too, shouting "BITE! ICE KEEM!" She had a big hard tummy by the time we were done. Reder, who loves meat, didn't eat much. Go figure. This meal was definitely fun!
