This is Ruby all dressed up for church. She was watching a little bit of Barney (yes, the obnoxious purple dinosaur). He is her absolute favorite. He mesmerizes her in a way nothing else does, as looks obvious in this photo:

This weekend we tried our hardest to get a family photo. Here is one of Reder and Ruby we took while we were trying to get the lighting, seating, etc. right. Ruby looks agreeable here. Let's just say when we got to taking the "real" photos she most definitely was not agreeable. The photo we went with is just okay....silly girl!:

Ruby likes to sled, but if you ask her to walk through the snow she will scream. She can have such a hot temper! Yet another way that she is nothing like her brother....
All in all we've been doing great. Remarkably no one has been sick - knock on wood!! Ruby had her 18 month checkup today, and is 60th percentile for both height and weight (33 inches long, 25 lb 2 oz). She's a healthy kid! This afternoon we went and helped distribute food for the Food Bank. I thought it was neat, and the kids thought it was just great to play with other kids and different toys. I think we will definitely do Food Bank volunteering again!
