Halloween

We had a great Halloween! We started by going to the mall to trick-or-treat there. It was chaotic there, but still fun. Ruby was a pig. Jason had the brilliant idea of attaching a construction paper pig nose to her binkie. Worked like a charm, and she got lots of comments:

Reder was a pirate, and a mighty good one I might add! He loved his costume:

Aunt Karie was brave and came in the pink bunny costume. She insisted on holding Ruby so she didn't feel foolish, but we thought she looked great!

Gramma Janet was a clown. Unfortunately she looks like a psychotic clown in the picture we got of her here, but her costume really was fantastic. Grammas will do anything to please their grandkids!

After the mall we got some quick dinner, then headed back to trick-or-treat in our neighborhood. It was warm, just windy. We kept the kids up a little late to try to compensate for the time change. They were exhausted in the end, but not too tired to play with their loot:

Jason and I were party-poopers and didn't have costumes. Maybe next year I'll have to come up with something, but I tell you, getting the kids all dressed up was enough creative activity for me, and my mom did most of Reder's!

We should have taken Reder out with us. He could have been our pirate baby.
