Christmas Day

Christmas morning came early - mostly because Katie couldn't sleep. I say she was too excited, but she says she just wanted to make sure she was up so she didn't miss anything. ??? As soon as she heard noises that sounded like Reder was starting to wake up she was in there getting him up. He wasn't really awake yet, but reminding him that Santa came made him ready to get up.

Santa brought Reder what he asked for - a dragon fortress (even though dragons are really scary).
Ruby got her very own riding toy - Now she and Reder won't fight over his!

Papa Rob and Gramma Janet came over early too, and Karie showed up not long after them. There were lots of presents to open, and excited little kids make it all lots of fun.

Ruby's favorite present actually didn't seem to be toys, but rather clothes, shoes, a purse, etc. Whenever she opened something she couldn't wait to try it on.

We had a nice Christmas dinner with a bit non-standard menu - including an elk roast and brussel sprouts.
The day ended with exhausted kids:
