We tried putting Reder in a big boy bed a few weeks ago. We went to the store and let him pick out new sheets (surprisingly he wanted Cars, not Thomas). He did great in it for the first night. During naptime the next day we had a heck of a time getting him to stay in it, and ended up putting him back in his crib. That night was awful. He was screaming and crying and screaming and crying....trying to get out of his room (we locked him in so he couldn't wander, and there's nothing that can hurt him in his room). We finally put him in his crib and he was still crying. Out of frustration and for lack of any better ideas we quickly disassembled his Big Boy Bed, threw it in the hall, shoved the crib against the wall where it usually was, and he instantly went to sleep. Guess he wasn't ready! Everyone I've talked to said it wasn't a big deal but for some reason it was for us. We'll try again in a few months. Here are some pictures of Reder thinking his Big Boy Bed is cool, before he decided it wasn't. Oh, and Karie asked him where his Big Boy Bed went, and he said "it broke."

Silly Rederkins. Maybe he knows something you don't...maybe it really was broken!
I bet he just wants to be in a bed like Baby Sister for now and he will be great in his big boy bed in a couple months!!!!!
Too bad-it's broken..... And where do broken things go? Hmmmmm-garbage, never to be seen again. Ahhhhh-hope is a grand thing! Reder's not stupid.
