Another Beautiful Day

Another Beautiful Day.  This morning Rob and Janet and Karie came over with a truck and trailer load of Karie's stuff.  She is busy moving out of her rental.  Her landlord is dumb getting rid of two good renters, but that doesn't change anything.  We moved all of Karie's stuff into our garage.  Good thing that we built a 3rd stall on our garage - everyone else uses it!  In fact, it was still partly full with Rob's stuff (Katie says four years "but who's counting?")  So we unloaded Karie's stuff into the driveway (two trips from her house) and then loaded up the truck and trailer with Rob's stuff from the garage to make room for Karie's stuff in the garage.  So it ended up that our garage is still full of other people's stuff, but different stuff.  And this may be there for a shorter period of time - until Karie finds a new place to live.  The best part is that I managed to put a bunch of my stuff on their trailer too - our old riding lawnmower, a bunch of scrap lumber, and several hundred feet of poly pipe.  Nice!  Overall a successful swap.

I should mention one thing we learned:  In the future, when we say that we will hook the trailer up the the tuck before loading heavy V8 engines on it, in order to prevent it from rolling down the hill, we will.

After Reder's nap we went up Hyalite again.  This time we hiked a little ways up the Blackmore trail from the Reservoir.  This is a much busier spot than where we went yesterday.  But Reder saw HORSES! and DOGGIES!  We tried to find a geocache, but in the dense forest I had very little signal.  Reder and Ruby seemed to really enjoy it though and we were all happy that Reder could wash the fruit strip goo off of his hands in the stream.

After our hike we walked down to the reservoir, which is very low at this time of year.  Reder got to see lots of BOATS OUT THERE and ROCKS!  He likes to look at them with his "'noculars," which he always uses backwards.
