A caving we will go!

A couple of Sundays ago we decided to go to Lewis and Clark Caverns. I had not been there in years, and the last time Jason went was with the exchange students, and he happened to be suffering from food poisoning after a friend's wedding, so he didn't have fond memories. We went to church then hopped in the car for the drive. I think it only took about an hour to get there.

The kids were great during the tour for the most part. It was two hours, and consisted of a 0.5 mile hike from the visitor's center to the cave entrance. Then we were guided through the cave, through twists, turns, and our favorite, the "Beaver Slide". You really had to get on your feet and crouch down and scooch through a little crevice. Pretty cool. Kids did great until the very end when they got horsing around and bonked heads pretty hard. Let me tell you, screaming reverberates in a cave! Praise the Lord we were in the last room so we could get out of there soon. All in all very fun. We'd definitely do it again.
