We have had quite the week at our house! It all started last Wednesday night when we took everything out of the family, living, and dining rooms so the carpets could get cleaned the next day. Don't let the dogs fool you. They are bad dogs. To top off my ill-feelings towards them, Skippy walked up behind me yesterday and projectile vomited on my leg. Seriously??
Anyway, house looks funny without furniture:

Then that night Ruby cried a whole bunch with a hurt ear. I took them to the doctor the next morning and turns out they both have ear infections, though Reder didn't have any symptoms yet. So, a round of antibiotics for all! Ruby had a fever of 104 that same day and it has persisted until today, though today wasn't that great of a day either. Poor Ruby. She has been miserable. We have too!
Friday night was the craft fair/chili feed at church for charity. I made some pincushions (I sold one lousy one was all), Jason made bluebird houses, and Mom made aprons (which were popular of course) and a variety of other little cute tid-bits. Here we are by our table:
Look at how miserable our little Ruby looks. Jason came after work and picked her up and took her home. The poor child.
This little cardboard thing is called the Snack-o-Matic. You speak your snack request (A-D) into the circle with a bunch of black holes. Insert your dollar into the hole, and voila, your snack appears out the little door! Reder thought this was so fun. There weren't any older kids there to man the Snack-0-Matic so Reder did it. We enjoyed watching him!

Here are Steffany and Ruby making Reder happy:
There were lots of delectable sweets for sale but or course Reder had no desire to eat any of those, so I got him some rolls instead. He was happy:
Sunday afternoon was sure pretty at our house:
This is what happens when you play Lego's too late into the evening (for Reder this would be all of 8:00 or so):

Don't worry, we moved him back under his covers after we took this picture:
This picture was from this morning - a full WEEK after Ruby first got sick. She doesn't look much better, huh? She ate today, which was progress. I was hoping that after her nap she would be a new kid but if anything I say she regressed as compared to last night. Poor kid. She's sleeping now, and tomorrow is another day.
Tomorrow I'm going on a date with Steff. She is leaving the country next week for a long time, so this is our last hooray (well, apart from the 10K we are doing together on Saturday). Mom is going to babysit and we're going shopping for jeans, then out for reubens. What could be better??
