An October Trip to Texas

Oh my gosh, I'm blogging!

In October we took a quick trip to Texas to visit my Aunt Mary, Uncle Dick, Gramma Finney, and Karie and Andrew.  It was so fun!

Here are just a few highlights of what we did....not a complete story.  :)

We went dress shopping.  That was sure fun!  Ruby chose a red dress with a matching dress for her baby doll:

 We swam and swam and swam!  I think this is Karie on the left doing some sort of racing with Reder on the right.  Reder is a fish.  Sometimes I think we need to get him into some swimming club or something, but they again that requires work and a schedule and sometimes we aren't too fond of doing much after school.

Ruby also had a great time going through Aunt Mary's "jewels":

We also went to the Salt Lick for some BBQ.  Delicious.  We all left stuffed.  This is Karie and Andrew.  Poor Ruby, she often gets family members confused and the other day she referred to Andrew as "Karie's brother Tanner".  Goodness!

We also made some pumpkin rice krispie treats, in our swimsuits of course!

Reder experienced a new emotion on this trip - jealously!!  Reder was not sure what to make of Andrew, as in his mind he is Karie's boy of choice.  We will have to have some discussions with him regarding how to deal with these new feelings....poor Reder.

We weren't here very long but we appreciate everybody's hospitality!
