Here are the kids after a bath at Gramma's. Ruby had her hair done all pretty, and they were both wearing Reder's wintertime undershirts as jammies, b/c it was too hot for anything else. Not a great picture.
Ruby got up the other morning, got herself all comfy on the couch, and read a book to herself:
Our friend Chip is way into bees. So one night we had him and Sarah out for dinner, and then Chip could help Jason look for the elusive queen bees in our hives that Jason has not been able to find.
Chip found her in one of the hives (Jason said there was no way he would have spotted her), but there were no queens in the other, just queen cells. Chip almost thought this hive had swarmed. So, this hive is growing itself a new queen. Very interesting. Thanks Chip!
