Cleaning and the Fair!

We had a great day! We started it out right by cleaning the garage. How long has it been since we've done this? We can't remember. Reder was more than willing to help sweep, and Ruby had a blast playing with dirt and crawling around the madness.

Here are the helpers, busy at work:

Here is my filthy Ruby. She prefers a ballcap to her wide-brimmed sun hat. She doesn't have a ballcap so she wears Reder's old one. She was wearing an outfit with a skirt, but she can't crawl with the skirt (she hollars to tell me how annoyed she is) so I had rolled it up and tucked it into the snaps, and I put a pair of my socks on her legs to cover her knees and lower legs to help protect them while she's crawling around on the pavement and cement. The socks worked like a charm! I will be using them in the future! Anyway, she's quite a sight:

After "daytime mimis", as Reder says, or also known as afternoon naptime, we went to the County Fair with Gramma and Papa. Today was our hottest day of the season by far (maybe up to 90 degrees?). Here is Ruby in the stroller:

Don't they look hot?"

Here is Ruby at the petting zoo. She LOVED this. She was mad at us, however, because she wanted to crawl around and harrass everything but we wouldn't let her crawl in the pen, and she let us have it! (if there is an overall theme to Ruby, I would say it is that she can be rather loud). If only she would walk, there wouldn't be any problems!! Needless to say there was a lot of oinking on Ruby's part going on:

Reder was like a kid in a candy shop in the petting zoo. It's been awhile since we've seen him so full of glee like he was here. Here he is with Gramma:

He tried his hardest to "squeal a pig" but he was disappointed that no matter how hard he hugged one it never made a sound.

What trip to the fair would be complete with an over-priced ride on an ancient heap of metal?

Back at home Reder tried on his new cowboy boots that GG and Auntie Sue picked up at a garage sale. THey are cool, and fit just right. Thanks!!
