For the most part we just took it easy over Spring Break. We all needed a break in routine and do spend some time together at home. But, one day Jason took off work and we drove up to Helena for the day to have some fun.
We stopped in Three Forks for cinnamon rolls at Wheat Montana Bakery. I know, I know, I gave up dessert for Lent, but a cinnamon roll at 10 am doesn't count. I had to have some.
They were delicious, and it could be me but I think they're better than they used to be.

Jason and I were doing like Pops and dunking our cinnamon roll in our coffee. Ruby wanted to try dunking hers in her chocolate milk:
The first stop when we got there was Exploration Works, a children's museum. It was great, and even better was the fact that our membership to Museum of the Rockies got us in free. They had a bunch of cool stuff, like a water feature to play with (complete with raincoats), a little kid play area (they're on the "mountain" of it, below), and a giant thing with balls on strings that you can swing and they knock into each other (Reder likes those so was impressed with a huge one).
Then we took a little break and got some lunch, then went next door to the carousel. We bought 2 rides for each kid but Reder won a third and they were nice and gave Ruby a third for free:
Then we went back to the children's museum. This was my favorite thing....it's one of those things with sticks that you can push back and forth through a frame. This is creepy looking but Ruby pushed her face through it a bunch of times then wanted me to take her picture:
On the way home we took the long way through Norris and stopped at the hot springs. Lucky for us they were having a malfunction and the pool wasn't very deep so they were letting everyone in for free. Shallow water is right up our alley so this was great!
After we soaked and overheated ourselves we got dressed and went inside the cafe for some dinner. Delicious food, and almost all of it they grew in their green house, or came within 100 miles.

It was a great day!
